The Sound Start Babies Foundation
The Sound Start Babies Foundation, formally the Lake Drive Foundation, is a not-for-profit 501 (C) 3 established by community leaders in 1996 as the fund development arm of The Lake Drive Program for Children Who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing.
From birth until age three, children with hearing loss qualify for early intervention services. However, despite overwhelming research proving the importance of these services for school readiness and achievement, New Jersey state funding covers less than one third of the cost of the Sound Start Program.
Your donation to the Sound Start Babies Foundation will support the Sound Start Babies Early Intervention Program for infants and toddlers who are deaf and hard of hearing right here in your community. Sound Start results are tangible, permanent and rewarding.
Since 1969, The Sound Start Babies Program has helped more than 1,000 children from many counties throughout New Jersey achieve emotional, social, and academic success leading to financial independence and a better quality of life.To learn more about the Sound Start Foundation, visit our website by clicking here.
